Welcome to French Chateau Sculling, a unique Camp where scullers of any ability can improve with dedicated coaching while enjoying a fun-filled experience. If you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure, consider French Chateau Sculling Camps
Our stretch of the River Lot is quite stunning. It has been selected by the Paris Olympics (2024) as the preparation area for rowing and kayaking.
Our stretch is also used by the Oxford University mens and womens squads for the selection camp ahead of the big race.
The French national rowing and kayaking squads also train here as well as multiple clubs from France and the UK.
The main reasons for this interest are; lack of current, wide and deep river, no large river traffic, virtually no wind and it's just so beautiful!

Any athlete taking part in our camps will depart with new knowledge and skills. Our team ensures that athletes and friends enjoy every moment and keep them busy throughout their time at our friendly Camp.
Of course there is always time for relaxation too.
ENJOYING SW FRANCE AND ITS CULTURE
Relax after rowing
After the two coaching sessions each morning we will organise several excursions that may include: wine tasting at a vineyard, visiting ancient castles, horseback riding, golf, tennis etc. Or relax by the pool with your chosen 'sports drink'.
